Purchase Or Make All Natural Toothpaste

By Leslie Ball

There are some actions that we do daily, and that are very important for our health, such as brushing our teeth, taking a shower, eating, etc. But do you really know what products you use? Maybe you know some ingredients, but the problem is that most of the product we use are filled with chemicals. Fortunately, there is an option for you, if you want to switch to all natural toothpaste and other products.

If you look at the ingredients from any commercial toothpaste you will see lots of chemicals, additives, detergents and sweeteners. There are lots of them, but some are not dangerous (or at least not really toxic). However, propylene glycol is one of the worst, and it is used in lots of products. Fluoride is also widely used, and although some dentists recommend it, others say that it can be toxic is large amounts.

You may think about buying a toothpaste from a shop with natural products. It can be a good idea, but be careful that some of them can also have various chemicals, although they are less harmful. An example would be sodium lauryl suflate, which can be made from natural oil, making it not toxic, but still creates sores or irritation in your mouth.

The solution for these problems is to buy only natural products, made from plant extracts, essential oil, maybe some zinc oxide, citric acid or baking soda. Look up the stores that sell these kinds of toothpaste in your city and try them. You may also find there other natural cosmetic products that you may want to try.

You can always choose to create it yourself, so you can be sure it will have the perfect taste, solve the problems you are dealing with and why not, save some money. You only need a few ingredients and about ten minutes to get it done and the results are astonishing.

You can chose to put tea tree oil, to clean and refresh your teeth, baking soda or sea salt against tartar buildup, or various essential oils for a citrus-fresh or minty taste. If you prefer herbal mixes, use Indian almond, licorice root, clove, eucalyptus or peppermint oil. Another option could be to add cinnamon oil, for an exotic taste. It's all up to you.

If you find that your toothpaste is not sweet enough you can use stevia, powder or liquid or xylitol. You can also try a different type of paste, the one made with clay. Even if it's hard for you to believe it, using clay will leave your teeth very clean. Also, it helps with the remineralization of the teeth. There are different types of clay that you can use. Just chose one, add purified water, salt, a sweetener that you like and whatever essential oil you want

In conclusion, even if you choose to buy your toothpaste or make it, as long as you use natural products, your body will thank you. Think about all the chemicals that you save your body from absorbing. And the best part is how good you will look and feel.
